Resources for cycling to and on the Lawrence Campus

Ride Your Bike

A bicycle is a great way to get around campus and around town. When paired with KU on Wheels and Lawrence Transit, you can get to nearly any destination - whether for recreation, entertainment, or daily transportation needs. Use our maps to find your way around town, find friends to ride with, or find a new ride using the resources on this site.

Ride Our Bikes

Don't have your own bike? No problem!  We've got you covered with the KU Bike Share program. You'll find over 150 blue and red bikes throughout campus that are available for you to use on campus and throughout the community for a low hourly fee. Or purchase an annual subscription and ride free anytime!  Or, for a day-long or weekend excursion, you can rent a bike from KU Outdoor Pursuits.

Ride Safe

Always follow the rules of the road and keep your bike in safe riding condition.  We've got information for bicyclists about riding safely and for drivers about driving safely around bicyclists so we can all share the road as we get to destinations around town.  We've got resources for keeping your bike in good working order. And, we've got tips to help protect your bike from theft.
